Who We Are

Joe Campbell is an Emergency Medicine and Family Practice physician with over 40 years experience as a doctor and 20 years as co-winemaker at Elk Cove Vineyards in Gaston, Oregon. He and his wife Pat crafted award winning wines, a tradition continued today by their son Adam. When not mentoring Condor wines from vine to bottle, Joe practices medicine in Portland and on the Oregon Coast and volunteers with disaster medical relief teams, most recently in Louisiana, Sri Lanka and South Sudan.

Anna M Campbell is a freelance photographer in Portland Oregon. She spent a month documenting life in Cayma and the social services offered by the Mission de Cayma. Before embarking on her photography career she taught biology in Burkina Faso as a Peace Corps Volunteer and worked in the wine cellars at Elk Cove Vineyards and Chehalem Winery.

Adam Godlee Campbell, son of Joe Campbell, is winemaker and manager of Elk Cove Vineyards. He graduated from Lewis and Clark College in Portland Oregon. He is a recognized leader in the Oregon Wine Industry. Because of his talent, passion and dedication Elk Cove was named Northwest Winery of the Year by Northwest Palate Magazine in 2007.

Father Alex Busuttil is a Catholic brother from the island of Malta in the Mediterranean. He established a hunger relief program, a medical clinic, and a job-training program to support the people of Cayma, an outer settlement of Arequipa, Peru. Because of his dedicated service, the standard of living in Cayma is improving and many of the jobless have found work.
